There’s a first time for everything.
First kid. First closed deal. First million.
But we forget: there’s also a last time for everything.
The last time you walk your dog.
The last time you have dinner with a parent.
The last time your kid asks you to play outside.
Sadly, we may only know that this time is the last time in hindsight.
Which is why we often miss these moments. Our attention is on the next task, instead of experiencing the moment we’re in now.
But unless you’re the Buddha, you can’t just: ‘live in the moment.’ Why? because…
Presence isn’t a mood. It’s a skill.
Just like playing a sport—presence requires practice and reps.
You train Presence like you train for a Marathon.
You commit to it. You invest in it. You understand it’s a process.
Being Present enables you experience life – whether relationships or vacations – at a deeper level. Plus, you’ll be more engaged and focused at work.
But how do you do it?
For those wanting a mental upgrade, reply to this email and I’ll send you steps for the 555 morning routine.
Be ready for the next time that you experience a “last time”.
warmly,
– Navin
